Jim Bray joined Cypress Wealth Services in September 2025 as Managing Director and Senior Financial Advisor. With over 20 years of experience as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®), and Wealth Advisor, Jim brings seasoned insight and deep expertise to his role—focusing on helping high-net-worth individuals navigate complex financial decisions with confidence. He began his career in 2004 at Morgan Stanley, quickly rising to First Vice President, then moved to Wells Fargo Advisors in 2010 as a Senior Vice President. In 2014, he transitioned to an independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm to offer clients a more personalized, flexible planning experience— centered entirely around the goals and needs of each client. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science inBiology from UC Santa Cruz, and he earned his CFP® designation in 2007. Jim’s expertise spans comprehensive financial planning, investment portfolio design, and risk management—disciplines he leverages daily to help clients grow, protect, and preserve their wealth. Outside of work, Jim is a devoted family man and proud father of four. He enjoys cheering on his children in their academic and athletic pursuits and finds balance in surfing—believing strongly in the connection between physical wellness and mental clarity. Jim’s career and personal values reflect a deep commitment to hard work, integrity, and balance. He is passionate about guiding clients through life’s financial complexities and helping them achieve clarity and peace of mind through thoughtful planning.
